Classic must-have shoes

Despite the fancy shoes that we all love to wear; like the "winter black coat" or the "classic jeans", there are some must-have shoes that all women should own in their closet. I'm not saying to get rid of the crazy Charlotte Olympia high heels, or the fancy Prada numbers, but some models are important for the style and the practical touch too.

Pointus c'est chic:
Incredibly trendy this season, the pointed court shoe are forever chic and super classy. In my opinion, it's definitely a must-have feminine item that you can wear at work, for casual dinners and even for big events. These high heels guarantee the feminine elegance. The material and color aren't very important, you can pick them depending on you personality and taste. The pointed court heels can be found in any shoe store.

Casual Converse:
You probably think that converses are very common and not very feminine, but to me, it is an absolute must-have. For a casual day, those shoes are super practical and, believe it or not, stylish at the same time; you can match them with anything (boyfriend jeans, dress, shorts...).  It's true that converses aren't unique and different, but I think the variety of colors and textures today is quiet interesting, and the multitude of things that you can do to style your converses (paint, studs,,,) is awesome. I think everyone should own a pair of Converse that we can style and decorate depending on our personality.

Masculine vibes:
We all need that masculine vibe sometimes to remind or express a certain character. Brogues are the best to guarantee a classy look, yet very sophisticated. You can have fun matching them with long socks, skirts, dresses, straight pants or even a feminine suit to complete a serious look. I think it's a classic must-have because you can wear them on casual occasions, or even for formal events. Brogues are very stylish in all seasons.

Summer sandals:
Sandals is a very vast word, but I can't specify a particular brand or a particular model. What I mean here, is simple flat sandals that you can wear with anything in summer. If it was for this summer, I would pick the Tropezienne as a must-have, but we all know that they wont be forever trendy; so I suggest simple sandals (gold, silver, bronze or beige) with maybe discrete details (strass, studs...). Classic chic sandals is perfect for casual and dressy events; you just have to pick the perfect color (already mentioned), and the perfect material like leather.

Winter must-have:
For winter, the perfect shoes in my opinion, are black leather ankle boots. Very simple, but super class, these boots are also very practical with dresses and pants. I think they are amazing for winter, whether it's under the rain or on a sunny day. They give a very sophisticated look; you can choose them with a bit of heels, or with a zipper on the side for example depending on your taste, but without a lot of details, keep it simple and chic. You can even wear them in spring or summer with stylish outfits (mentioned in an older post "Stylish Summer").

Signé s'il vous plait:
What would our closets be without signé heels? Yes ladies, signé shoes are a must-have. I think all women at a certain point, should own at least a pair of  "big brand" heels, a personal treat, preciously preserved in its box. As we all know, high heels are a strong feminine symbol, and I think from time to time, for certain occasions, it's important to wear signé numbers. I know the prices are incredible, but fashion speaking, a pair of classic Louboutin, or even fancy Dolce and Gabbana high heels, are required in a woman's closet.

What to pack for a beach trip

Beach trips are all about sexiness, style and elegance. Besides the fashionable swimsuits, there are so many perfect trendy accessories for your séjours! Ladies, in those kind of trips, the most important items are the useless ones, only for style; headbands, large kimonos, summer boots, giant necklaces, huge hats, should be on top of the list! Unlike winter trips, or simply city trips where there are some fashion rules to respect, the beach is one of the rare place when you can go crazy with your outfits and explode cutouts! During my trip to Greek islands, I enjoyed choosing my outfits everyday, because I didn't have to think if it was too short, or too daring... People who live near the beach build their unique style based on accessories mainly (sunglasses, colorful earrings...), most of the guys go out shirtless, and as I said, they concentrate on the hairstyle and accessories. It's natural somehow, they don't think too much, because there are no rules when you can just go out with a cute swimsuit and a huge flower necklace. You are not in Paris or New York where you have to be fabulously chic otherwise you are judged, that's why I said in the beginning, beach trips equal sexiness, style and of course ,a minimum of elegance. Although, if you have fancy dinners during your trip, or for example, a day in a city far from the beach, you absolutely have to show your classy side! Here's some items I personally took with me on my beach trip (excuse the non-professional pictures).

Fashion in Mykonos

Mykonos is definitely my favorite shopping island; I enjoyed walking the alleys and visiting the small typical shops, that are filled with accessories of all kind, and beach items that I found surprisingly so stylish. I honestly didn't know the local population was so talented; most of the items, whether it's accessories (necklaces, bags, hats...) or any kind of clothes, are handmade! They have a specific, yet unique touch in fashion that is so interesting and fresh for summer. Their style is very colorful, and includes a lot of beautiful details; you can feel the summer paradise touch, and elegance at the same time. You also have the famous big brands, like Louis Vuitton, Disquared2, Marc Jacobs, Diesel etc. It's really a pleasure to shop in Mykonos, you can easily spend a day between all the boutiques and the cafes. And of course, don't forget to watch the beautiful sunset at the end of the day!
