Embracing summer

I officially finished school today; my exam results are very good, and I can finally enjoy my vacations! I'm so excited for this summer, especially that I'm going tomorrow on a boat trip that includes Greek and Turkish islands; so I'll be posting a lot of beach fashion and summer gourmandizes to inspire you, (especially on instagram). If you guys have beach trips too, I really recommend kimonos, stylish shorts, large hats and cozy overalls; and for the shoes, platform sandals! Anyway, as I said, you can check my daily outfits during this trip, for more ideas; and I want to wish you all a beautiful and stylish summer!

Stylish summer

Summer is the best season to express your style, because it's the only season where you can wear anything you want, even fall or winter items (fur, beanies, boots...). Summer is really the season where you can go crazy, have fun with your outfits, express your freedom in your looks. Here's some ideas of outfits that can inspire you find your own summer style, and don't forget to add a personal touch!

Hippie inspired style:
Why not go hippie this summer, with large kimonos, denim shorts, head bands, short boots, fringe... I personally love those large cozy kimonos, very fashionable and trendy this season! This kind of style is very comfortable and stylish at the same time, you can play with the accessories (long peace necklaces, flower accessories, silver bracelets, hippie glasses...); but as I already said, don't forget to add something personal to your outfits that makes them unique!

Classy mademoiselle:
I'm sure many of you like the famous cols claudine, striped shirts, chic blazers... Here's another kind of style for those who like to stay classy and elegant. I can also call this look, the Taylor Swift look, you can have fun with the colors and prints, enjoy any kind of lace, play with the accessories (pearls, chains, ribbons, gold...); and what I love the most about this style, is the hats! You can use any kind of hat to style your outfits, it guaranties the elegant touch.

Street swag style:
This kind of style is the definition of coolness and chillness! Very relaxed, but at the same time very cozy and stylish; here's the real fun in the outfits, you can mix the materials and prints, use masculine pieces, multiply the accessories... Most important items for this kind of style, are the beanies and the glasses! And of course don't forget to rock denim; but watch out, don't use only masculine pieces, because whatever style you adopt, always stay feminine!

Vintage 60's:
I chose to write about the 60's style specially for beach looks. It's a bit hard to adopt this style everyday, but I think for beach days, it's just sensational. Swimsuits, sunglasses, overalls, hats, flower printed dresses, and other stylish items of the 60's, are perfect this season for some glamorous vintage looks!

80's it is:
If you regularly read my blog, I'm sure you already noticed that I'm a big fan of 80's fashion, and this time, I'm talking about an everyday style! If this is your summer style, I suggest a lot of colors and prints, its very important, especially colorful accessories. High waisted pants or shorts of course, you can also wear gather skirts with shirts, and don't forget the colorful high heels and belts. Also, if it fits your morphologies, enjoy tight printed dresses. If you like this style, I recommend you to watch "The Carrie Diaries" series, the outfits are just amazing! For this style, girls, it's all about daring.

Most of the items are from Zara, H&M, Mango, Topshop and Urban Outfitters; if you have any question, don't hesistate to comment here, or on my instagram account "fashiongourmande".

Summer shoes obsession

1. Birkenstocks are back:
This season is marked by the return of the Birkenstocks, or the Birkenstock inspired sandals, that you can find in any trendy shop (Zara, H&M, Sandro, Stradivarius...). Believe  it or not, those shoes are a must-have this summer, definitely fashionable. You can wear them with pants (Boyfriend jeans for example), or chic shorts; but watch out, they aren't very feminine and elegant, so you have to wear them with classy outfits!

2. High platforms sandals:
I love platforms sandals, it's completely trendy this season, and I think it's a must-have item; because it's very stylish, and it definitely gives a unique feminine touch to the outfit. You can wear them with anything, it depends on the style of course.

3. Boots for the style:
I know boots aren't the best choice when it comes to the summer weather, but when it comes to style, short boots with mini shorts or Boyfriend jeans for example are just perfect. You can fine them at H&M, Topshop, Zara...

4. Pointus c'est chic:
My huge crush this season are those heels. Super chic and trendy, they guaranty a classy and elegant look. You can match them with any outfit, whether it's a casual look for a cozy lunch for example, or a serious look for work, or even a sexy and glamour look on the biggest red carpet!

Fashion inspiration for Prom

Girls tend to think that prom means long dresses, but I think there's no rules; you can wear whatever you want, as long as you respect the occasion, and the morphology of your body. Here's some ideas to inspire you, don't be afraid to dare and be unique!

Short dress:
I suggest short dresses for those who aren't very tall, or even short skirts with cropped-tops. Play with the material (froufrou, leather, lace...), choose some beautiful summer colors, mix the prints, and don't be afraid to show some skin with unique cutouts. Prom is like celebrities' red carpet, show your style and be comfortable in your outfit; but careful not to fall into too casual! These are some looks to inspire you (just notice the pieces and the style, not the total look).

Overall:
Short or long, overalls are very elegant, chic and feminine, perfect for the classic girl. Here, I suggest you choose some soft tissues like silk; and some classic colors like black, white, pale pink...

Pants:
Pants are also very classy and chic, you can wear them with a blazer, a cropped-top, or even a bra, it depends on the theme. If I were you, I would go for leather pants, and a plain top. Once again, ignore the total look in the images, just take an idea of the style...

Long dress:
If you want to wear a long dress, it has to be different from the others (in terms of color, material or style). Pick a flashy color for example, or choose a dress with unique cutouts or cool prints; something has to be special in the dress.

Hair:
There's a lot of things you can do with your hair, but personally I love the natural chignons.
